About The Farm
The family farm was bought in 1994. Following that, the family decided to become a deer farm in 1996 – starting off with 35 in-calf hinds. Now, we have over 100 deer across the farm.
We highly recommend campers bring their binoculars between the months of May and June as this is when many of our babies are being born in the fields just across the valley. Come June and July, during the warm summer evenings, the new arrivals can be watched prancing around the fields which is a lovely sight.
If you miss seeing the young calves, don’t worry as rutting season is between the months of August and September. This is when we let the stags in with the females - as you can imagine the stags gets very excited during this period so please expect to hear bellowing sounds throughout your stay, including during the night.
In 2011, we invested in an Endurance wind turbine. As a result, we are now running as a carbon neutral farm.
